The Toy Store

Little People (The Toy Store) got it’s start in 1977 as a children’s boutique clothing store on Main Street in Quincy CA. It quickly added toys and games to it’s inventory and you now have what you find today. A one stop shop for kids and adults who love to play.

As the original owners of the store began looking at retirement, they put the store up for sale hoping to find a buyer that would carry on the whimsical charm that has served 3 generations in the Lost Sierras. That’s where we stepped in. We had looked for a small business in L.A. area for several years but nothing seem to really fit. Then in July of 2014 we got a phone call that lead us to seriously consider uprooting our city lives for the beauty and simplicity of Plumas County. We took the bait, packed up our house and our chickens, and took on the adventure of owning and operating a store loved and supported by generations. We bought a toy store. And the fun has begun!
